Justice Theta
Real name: Benjamin Murphy
Powers: Strength off the charts, can run and fly at speeds well over mach 4, almost completely invulnerable to injury, heals at an incredible rate, can hold his breath for hours, and ages at an incredibly slow rate.
General description: Normal human until he was altered by visiting aliens and given powers to protect his people. 6’4” tall, brown hair, blue eyes. He is Earth’s most powerful hero.
History: Ben Murphy was born into a poor country family in the Midwest United States. When he was 16 years old he encountered an alien ship wreck and saved the pilot from drowning. As a reward for his selfless actions, the grateful aliens granted him powers and abilities far beyond those of normal humans. Ben was ushered into a brotherhood of galactic peacekeepers known as the Justice Corps, and assigned to the Earth sector of space as protector and guardian. After several years of working solo, he encountered other people with powers not unlike his own and decided to join them in defending the common good. For over 80 years Ben has fought crime and defended the freedom of every day people as Justice Theta. In addition to his hero work he has formed the Justice Foundation to assist third world countries and poor people all over the world in obtaining food, clothing, and the resources they need to better their lives and maintain a higher and healthier standard of living.
Dynagirl
Real name: Kerri Masters
Powers: Flight, highly enhanced strength and senses, incredible resistance to physical damage and energy weapons, can emit a powerful concussive blast from her hands.
General description: Blonde, 27 years old, 5’ 8” tall, blue eyed and beautiful and gifted with a genius IQ.
History: Kerri Masters was as normal as any kid in North West Texas until she and her best friend fell down an abandoned well and were trapped there for three days while crews tried desperately to rescue them. While in the well, they noticed an odd glow present in the water and found it strangely comforting as they huddled together in darkness.
When the girls finally emerged from the well they were national media darlings, but they soon discovered they had gained much more than short term fame as they began to manifest strange and wonderful powers. After graduation Kerri moved to the big city to fight crime as her alter ego, Dynagirl. During her very first outing she was captured by the notorious villain Simon Hurst and victimized horribly both mentally and physically. The things that Simon forced her to do still haunt her today.
In the years since her recovery she has become a stalwart figure in the hero community and an important force for good as a part of the new Guardians. In terms of pure power she’s second only to her boyfriend, Justice Theta.
Dervish
Real name: Michael Wheeler
Powers: Limited control over tempestuous elements of the weather and can run and spin at high rates of speed. He also carries a wide array of edged weapons which he combines with his powers to devastating effect.
General description: 6’ tall, thin, but fairly muscled. Brown hair, Hazel eyes, with a quick wit and a ready smile. Dervish is the joker of the group and always has something funny to say.
History: Michael Wheeler was born to run. He showed signs of para-human abilities from a very early age and as such was raised in a tightly controlled environment. This denied him a traditional upbringing and has made him very independent. Since joining the latest team of Guardians, Dervish has found a very real sense of home and family for the first time in his life. He considers Justice Theta to be his best friend and would do anything to help him or any of his teammates. He can be very quick to jump headlong into a fray, but his fast thinking and lightning reflexes are a definite asset in battle.
Ms. Anarchy
Real name: Linda Waters
Powers: Flight powers as well as a localized psionic ability to generate illusions. The illusions are almost always stress related and horrible to behold striking fear in the average person.
General description: Married to Shockwave. In her 50s. 5’ 10” tall, long auburn hair.
History: Linda Waters has been a hero for over 30 years, getting into the original Guardians team at the age of 16. She met her husband Harrold not long afterwards, and has been a stalwart member of the team ever since. During her tenure on the team she has borne three children, who are all now grown with children of their own. Her daughter and youngest son are both also heroes in their own right, following in the footsteps of their famous parents. Lately, since the birth of her grandchildren, Linda has begun having second thoughts about staying in the hero profession.
Shockwave
Real name: Harrold Waters
Powers: Has the ability to control the Earth. Cause land tidal waves, create fists from the Earth. When using his powers he seems to be covered in a rock like substance that is very hard to penetrate.
General description: In his 50′s. 5’11” tall, with curly salt and pepper hair and a full beard.
History: Harold Waters was a bookish geology student when we stumbled across a formation of unusual rock on a dig in the northwest plains of Texas. As he attempted to free a sample of the rock, the tunnel caved in, trapping him and several other students underground. As they faced certain death, Harrold began to change, joining with the strange rock, and gaining the ability to save himself and his friends. He continued his studies for several years afterwards, shunning the spotlight and the limelight until he was approached by the original Guardians as a possible new member. Once he laid eyes on Linda McKay, he was in and has never looked back. He and Linda were blessed with three children, all with different powers and abilities. When he’s not out saving the world from the next threat to humankind, Harrold is a full time scientist and professor of geology.
Prometheus
Real name: Prometheus
Powers: Incredible strength, the ability to manipulate fire in a medium range, and heals virtually any wound almost instantly.
General description: Nearly 7’ tall, wears a tunic with homespun pants, looks more like a beggar than a superhero. His hair is long and braided back into a pony tail. His weapon of choice is a large axe.
History: One of the only Titans to survive the ascension of the Greek gods, Prometheus defied the new king Zeus and gave fire to mankind. For this crime he was chained to a rock and cursed to have an eagle eat out his liver by day, and to have it grow anew at night. He stayed for untold years chained to that rock in perpetual suffering until Hercules set him free. Since that time he has wandered the Earth doing what good he could for mankind. Recently he has taken on a much higher profile with his membership in the Guardians and his aggressive stance toward fighting injustice. Prometheus may be gruff and harsh, but he truly does mean well, in his own way.
