That’s right folks, the time has come! The Dynagirl Kickstarter is finally live and you can back this exciting project right here!
Life, times, and economical realities being what they are we decided to seek some outside investment to give things a boost into the next 12 issues as well as fund the production of the print run on our first graphic novel! This is fun stuff folks, check it out! We’ve got some incredible backer incentives, including original art, original pages from the Dynagirl series, and much much more!

The Penciled Dead is here!
They say that good things are always worth the wait, and that’s never been more true than with this stunning limited edition print known around these parts as “The Penciled Dead”. Envisioned and carried out by the incredible talent of Scottie Ray Watson, these prints are extremely limited in number and can only be found right here. Dropping lots of fun today, just not a lot of specifics! 48 is nearing completion! woo! Gotta crack the whip on that slow letterer and we’ll be done! 
Dead Reckoning: No Other Way, our first stand alone graphic novel starring the deadly and very sexy Ellabeth Parker is nearing a wrap on art, leaving just colors and letters before that’s ready to go!
Our newest book Sinn Fein just got a cover submitted so that book is getting ever closer as well!
And next week marks the completion of our 8th issue of Dynagirl! Pretty good for a bunch of part time creators making superhero comics, eh?

Austin Comic Con is here!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you have probably already heard, but the Austin Comic Con is finally here! This weekend is gonna be AWESOME with tons of guests and comic book pros coming out to meet people, sign autographs and sell their stuff! Red Handed Studios is no exception, because we’ll be right in the middle of the action! Dead Reckoning and Talon artist Scottie Ray Watson will be in the house signing and sketching for the fans alongside yours truly, Cary Kelley. You don’t want to miss this shot at getting both of us together in the same room because it’s going to be crazy! Here for your convenience is a hand dandy show map, giving you our exact location at the show! So come on out and check out the great stuff we have to offer, get a sketch, shoot the bull, and just have a great time! Comic conventions are awesome no matter if they’re your first or your thousandth. Get caught Red Handed this weekend in Austin! (Helpful hint: Click it to make it larger, and then print it so you can take it with you to the show!)
Changes afoot!
It’s been a little while, but we haven’t been idle I can promise you that! First off, how about our newest release!
That’s a 60 page perfect bound trade featuring a whole bunch of cool stories we’ve been itching to get out to the fans and just haven’t been able to before now. We’ve got Talon the way it was always meant to be, in FULL COLOR! Plus we’ve got Totem, Grace, and the original Dead Reckoning story reworked a bit with corrections and some minor edits! We’ve got a ton of stuff packed in there for you, and all for $12.95! You can’t beat that action! Head on over to the Indyplanet store and pick that baby up now! We will have limited quantities for sale at conventions, but when they’re gone they’re gone so make sure you don’t miss out!
And that’s not all we’ve been up to! This last week we debuted the Dynagirl digital store! That’s right, you can grab each complete issue of Dynagirl right off our website in PDF form ready to rock on the iPad and other tablet devices, no middle men, no fuss, no muss! In addition to our own digital store we’ve partnered with the great folks at Cloud 9 Comix to get Fallen Justice up and available in its entirety as well! No matter how you prefer to get them, Red Handed books are out there for your enjoyment!
We’re also running what’s called SKETCH Friday over at the Dead Reckoning site, whereby we offer a new sketch every week and donate the full proceeds to charity! We make absolutely nothing off of this promotion, it all goes to needy military families folks. It’s a great cause and you’re getting some awesome artwork!
The Dynagirl Contest!
So we’re getting close to printing our first trade edition of Dynagirl, and we figured why not have some fun with it along the way. So we’re opening up a contest in support of that event!
What’s required:
An original drawing of Red Handed Studios’ flagship character Dynagirl. She can be flying, fighting, looking sexy, whatever. (Nothing X-rated, and no nudity.) We prefer full color, but black and white inked is cool too. And understand that the more dynamic the shot, the greater weight it carries with the judges!
The rules:
1. One entry per person.
2. Permission must be granted to print your entry in the Dynagirl trade.
3. Harold and I will be judging and our decision will be final.
4. May the best entry win!
The prizes:
The top three entries will score some cool stuff!
1st place: A signed copy of the Dynagirl trade paperback Reap the Whirlwind, one of our limited edition fine art prints, and a Dynagirl T-shirt!
2nd place: A signed copy of the Dynagirl trade paperback Reap the Whirlwind and one of our limited edition fine art prints.
3rd place: A signed copy of the Dynagirl trade paperback Reap the Whirlwind.
In addition the top ten entrants will be printed in the Reap the Whirlwind trade. (with full credit of course!)

Dead Reckoning in the news and in progress!
You have been paying attention to the brand new sub-site for Dead Reckoning haven’t you? If not you better get over there! We’re not only showing you a new page of the preview we did for the graphic novels, but also offering up a huge helping of behind the scenes info in the form of notes for every single page! It’s like getting the annotated version without having to BUY the annotated version! You can’t beat that.
Also noteworthy in Dead Reckoning news, we’re getting some press already! The very gracious Jennifer Joseph conducted an interview with both Scottie and I and you can read that on her site, right now! She also has some cool promo art from the preview and gives you some insight into the story, so check that out!

We’ll be adding a gallery here soon, sprucing the place up with some crazy custom graphics, and generally making it just as cool as the rest of our sites.
