Austin Comic Con is here!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you have probably already heard, but the Austin Comic Con is finally here! This weekend is gonna be AWESOME with tons of guests and comic book pros coming out to meet people, sign autographs and sell their stuff! Red Handed Studios is no exception, because we’ll be right in the middle of the action! Dead Reckoning and Talon artist Scottie Ray Watson will be in the house signing and sketching for the fans alongside yours truly, Cary Kelley. You don’t want to miss this shot at getting both of us together in the same room because it’s going to be crazy! Here for your convenience is a hand dandy show map, giving you our exact location at the show! So come on out and check out the great stuff we have to offer, get a sketch, shoot the bull, and just have a great time! Comic conventions are awesome no matter if they’re your first or your thousandth. Get caught Red Handed this weekend in Austin! The Dynagirl Contest!
So we’re getting close to printing our first trade edition of Dynagirl, and we figured why not have some fun with it along the way. So we’re opening up a contest in support of that event!
What’s required:
An original drawing of Red Handed Studios’ flagship character Dynagirl. She can be flying, fighting, looking sexy, whatever. (Nothing X-rated, and no nudity.) We prefer full color, but black and white inked is cool too. And understand that the more dynamic the shot, the greater weight it carries with the judges!
The rules:
1. One entry per person.
2. Permission must be granted to print your entry in the Dynagirl trade.
3. Harold and I will be judging and our decision will be final.
4. May the best entry win!
The prizes:
The top three entries will score some cool stuff!
1st place: A signed copy of the Dynagirl trade paperback Reap the Whirlwind, one of our limited edition fine art prints, and a Dynagirl T-shirt!
2nd place: A signed copy of the Dynagirl trade paperback Reap the Whirlwind and one of our limited edition fine art prints.
3rd place: A signed copy of the Dynagirl trade paperback Reap the Whirlwind.
In addition the top ten entrants will be printed in the Reap the Whirlwind trade. (with full credit of course!)

And now…Dynagirl!
That’s right folks, it’s time! As of tomorrow the Dyangirl series officially begins! What does that mean? Well it’s all the fun, action, and striking visuals you came to expect from Fallen Justice, with a slightly more hopeful tone! Dynagirl is an unlimited series and will feature Cary Kelley on the writing and lettering duties, Harold Edge rocking the art, and Lisa Moore making it colorful! In addition, we’ll also have supplimental colors by SPLASH, and a number of guest writers popping in to put their own spin on the world of Dynagirl!
We’ll be doing a combination of things with the Dynagirl series. First, it’s a webcomic. That means you can check it out completely free! We’re not holding anything back, so you can read the whole thing in its entirety. We will also offer our newsletter subscribers some little special features now and again, so if you’re interested by all means sign up! The special features won’t have to be seen to get the full imact of the story, but they will add a little extra flavor now and again, which is always fun!
In addition to being on the web, at the completion of each issue, roughly every 22 pages of story content, we’ll be offering the hard copy issue for sale via the Indyplanet system. The goal is to have the issue ready and up for sale the day the last page goes live, so we’ll keep everyone informed of that!
But that’s not all! We’ll also be collecting every few issues into trade format and offering them for sale via the RHS store and at comic conventions near you! So you can come on out, meet and greet the RHS crew, and get some Dynagirl goodness all at the same time! You can’t beat that!
